Planeta Azul Carnaval is an artistically rich group of Brazilian musicians complimented by our lovely Samba dancers, 'Passistas'. This diverse group specializes in all forms of Brazilian music: Samba, Batucada/Brazilian Percussion, Bossa Nova /Brazilian Jazz, Samba Reggae and MPB, to name a few. Comprised of some of the most highly regarded musicians in the Chicago music scene (Brazilian and non): Luciano Antonio (Brazilian Jazz Guy), Felipe Fraga, Heitor Garcia, Edinho Gerber, and Clarice Cast...each artist is a master of their respective craft and has the innate sense needed to achieve the passion of this compelling music and beat. Together we bring the splendor of Brazilian music and dance to every event, celebrating the beauty of sound, movement, and culture.
